Russian National University of Oil and Gas (Gubkin University) and NORCHEM Group join forces in the field of intensification of oil production
On the 12 February, 2020 a working visit of a delegation of the Russian National University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin under the guidance of a university professor and academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences M. Silin took place at Zavod sintanolov LLC (NORCHEM Group of Companies). This visit was dedicated to the completion of the first stage of the investment project of Zavod sintanolov LLC on the modernization of production facilities. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between a leading Russian university in the oil and gas industry and a leading Russian manufacturer of surfactants.
"Improving oil recovery using modern innovative chemical methods is a priority for both the oil and petrochemical industries," noted M. Silin.
The Russian oil and gas sector is one of the main of the Russian economy, and its development in the present realities requires new technological solutions. Thanks to complex chemicalization and new high-tech production, the solution of the problems becomes possible.
“The accumulated rich experience of the NORCHEM Group of Companies, confirmed by the supply of products to oil production leaders, in cooperation with the advanced scientific technologies developed at the Russian State University of Oil and Gas, will help us achieve significant results,” confirmed the Director General of the Management Company NORCHEM LLC Yury Dudakov.
The parties agreed on the need for a mutual exchange of experience, as following:
- internship by young scientists of the university at the production sites of NORCHEM Group of Companies,
- receiving additional education as part of advanced training for specialists of NORCHEM Group of Companies at the Russian National University of Oil and Gas.
Thus, representatives of both sides emphasized that the tasks set by the Government of the Russian Federation to intensify oil production can be reflected in the mutually reinforcing cooperation of science and production.
